Benefit Time

Saturday we are having one of the cocktail parties to benefit our local hospital, with everyone ending up at the country club. This has been an annual event, over 30, I wish I knew how many years. Already we've received donations from those unable to attend. This is what our kitchen has looked like for the last week.
Our yard, deck & house are in tip-top shape, nothing like the possibility of 250 people coming to your home. Please let it not rain!

Wine Bag

This is the "summer" version of my wine bag made from burlap. Remember my "winter" version?

I hoped that after I spent time sewing the bag that I wouldn't ruin it by stamping on to it. Thankfully, the stamping came out wonderfully. Also, if you are lucky enough to receive one of these bags, not to mention the wine, you can regift the bag!

I noticed that yesterday was my 350th post. I CAN NOT believe that I am doing this. I think I need some kind of help. If my children would move closer to home that would also help with some of my blogging issues.

Carolina Backyard Garden

The below photos are from the backyard of Elaine & Sam. Elaine hosted a bridal shower for Leigh Anna. They should offer garden tours. Hope you enjoy their yard thru my blog tour.

Trash to Treasure

Well maybe not a treasure, but it was trash of our old deck step.
Within one hour, Mick turned the step into a bench that I designed. The finished product, even the paint was leftover from our deck furniture.

The bench is not for sitting but for displaying our flower pots. Although, it is very sturdy & you could sit on it. If you happen to talk to Mick just don't mention to him that he was part of a "green project." : )

Oldest & Youngest

Grandsons from 26 years to three years. Sean is working on his stick handling skills.
He held his lacrosse stick up & asked me take his picture. I guess he figured, he could see me so I must be able to see him. How cute?
Eric had some issues with his stick.
Sean waited very patiently for the repairs.
He is a very athletic boy! I know for a fact Eric told Sean that stick handling is stick handling & this is good practice for the best kind of stick there is,
a HOCKEY stick.
This is what you get after a can of grape soda and chocolate frosting off the top of a cupcake.
