Royal Wedding

The wedding starts tomorrow at 11:00am in London, 6:00am at my house. I'll be setting my alarm for 5:00am. Although, the MSNBC will start their live broadcast at 3:00am.
I have to leave for work at 7:30am so I'll set the DVR for the next two hours. Anyone want to come over tomorrow morning at 6:00am? I'll be serving English Breakfast Tea from London. Let me know!! So far I can't get anyone to come over for the wedding and a spot of tea at 5:00.

Easter Sunday

We had a great Easter dinner. The crocheted tablecloth is actually a bedspread that belonged to my Grandmother Lothridge. Thankfully we had the carrots since most all the food was beige. I warmed the spiral ham in the crock-pot, cooked in pineapple juice, brown sugar & maple syrup. It was the best spiral ham I ever tasted. I will defiantly cook my next spiral ham in the crock-pot.
Everyone commented on the deviled eggs in the carton. Something to remember next time you make deviled eggs!
 Donna with her FAVORITE brother-in-law.
Our one, not so aesthetically pleasing item of the day, stick figure bunnies. They looked cuter in the bakery case. Mick couldn't wait to cut into & serve the cake just to get rid of them. Certainly not like the bunnies Grandma Russell bought at Liberty Bakery.  : (  Next year I'm going to Liberty Bakery & buy me a real bunny cake.
Now if we could just have some warm spring weather!

Happy Easter
May you have a nice day.
Eat some chocolate for me. I like dark, milk or white!!

Bathroom Remodel

Thanks to a friend Mick has given up his trusty hammer. He has never done things the easy way or the fastest.
I like the nail gun because I'll be filling the holes & the nail gun makes much smaller holes.
There is a lot of components to a nail gun.
After the weekend the floor will be ready to be installed. Well, I can call the store to set up an appointment. I need to fill all the nail holes first.

Olive Oil Tasting

Kristen is always walking by the Boston Olive Oil Company & wanted to one day do a tasting. This was the second time I did a tasting. Mick & I did one at a vineyard in Wisconsin, that one only had about 10 oils.
There must have been 25 different olive oils and maybe 15 flavored vinegars.
We ended up both liking Tuscan Herb the best and both bought a bottle. I also bought Cinnamon Pear.
We so enjoyed the Boston Olive Oil Company.
If you get a chance, I highly recommend doing an olive oil tasting.

Longwood Inn

I stayed at The Longwood Inn during my weekend in Boston, MA.
It's an old Victorian home located in Brookline and is within walking distance to Fenway Park.
This photo was taken from the landing on the second floor. I want this wallpaper in my home.
Love this photo. NO apologies to my Republican family members.
Have you ever seen such a great office?
My stay for three night came to a total of $315.00. There was FREE parking, you don't have that very often  in Boston. Going to Boston, stay at the Longwood Inn.

Good morning & HAPPY BIRTHDAY Mick.
Is it 45 or 54?? 45 sounds so much better.
Get ready, I'm making my once a year meatloaf for dinner tonight.

Poppins Pawprints

Meet Poppins Pawprints.
Poppins is Amie's shelter adopted dog. According to Amie, Poppins is well behaved, never barks & everyone he meets likes him, even non-dog-loving people.
You know what they say about the dog & owner looking alike. I think know that is the reason Amie has on the Poppin colored headband.
You can "friend" Poppins on facebook.

Faneuil Hall Marketplace

Sunday we spent about four hours at the Faneuil Hall Marketplace, lots of indoor & outdoor shops and restaurants. We had a delicious lunch at American's oldest restaurant, established in 1826, Union Oyster House. Lunch was after we ate our breakfast of not sure good cinnamon sticks out of bags.

We then noticed the Paparazzi. Thankfully I was able to get the compact flash out of the camera and upload the photos for my own use.

Boston

I spent the weekend visiting Kristen in Boston. Saturday she gave me a tour of the Boston University School of Law campus. In just over five weeks she will be graduating!!
We didn't go to the game on Saturday.
Kristen, a huge Yankee fan, was thrilled with the score.
April 9, 2011:  Yankees 9, Red Sox 4
Photo taken right after the game.
We got all caught up walking with the sad Red Sox fans leaving the game.
Kristen was so wishing she had on her Yankee tee. Although, I'm sure this fan would not have been impressed.

New Bakery

I should not have titled this post "New Bakery." To my knowledge, 30 years worth, we've never had a bakery in town.
Can't speak on the Berlins. I've never had one, since I don't really care for them. At least there is one sweet I don't care for.
I've had their bread pudding and it was delicious!!!! They also had many varieties of bread.
Look at this chocolate raspberry cake. It looked so good and you'll never believe it was only $12.00. What a price. I was in the bakery at 7:30am, yesterday. I'm sure it sold quickly.
If only I had a reason to buy the cake.  : (

Birds Nest

Some of the best things in life are free.
I should have put a coin next to the nest so you could appreciate how small it is. It measures 3" in diameter.
I think I see stands of hair woven in the middle of the nest. I can't take the credit for finding this treasure. A friend found it during a walk & picked it up for me!!!

Happy Birthday Amie !!!
Love and miss you.
May you have a great day and a wonderful year.
