Arctic Air

It was 26 this morning, 26 BELOW that is. Notice the minus sign in front of the 26. By the time I got to work it was 25 below.

 I was very happy driving home at a balmy +3.

Animal Shots

My son is training me well. He has me always on the lookout for animals along with their  tracks & droppings. I saw this deer track during my walk with Jim & Debbie.

I'm so trained that I knew this deer must have been hit by a car and then eaten to the bone by coyotes.

When I walked with Bonnie we saw no animals, not even a bird. Guess the weather was to bad. My favorite looking for animal signs in the woods remains this walk.

Winter Photo Hike

Sunday I went on a hike on an old railroad bed where the ties & rails had been removed.

It feels so good to get outside during the winter.

The trail followed along the frozen river.

The snow lightly fell during the three mile hike but when we got back to the car the snow  started coming down hard.

In another attempt to learn my camera I figured out how to use the timer.

 Bonnie enjoyed the hike so much that she made plans for a hike in a new location next Sunday.

Photo Hike

Jim, Debbie & I went out on a afternoon photo hike.

I love this photo of Jim taking a photo. I never did get to see his shots, hope they came out good.

I did get to see Debbie's. She has a Canon & we were able to upload from my reader. I think I'll ask them to send me a few so I can post on the blog. 

I took about 70 photos that day & very few came out.

I spent an evening reading my manual & I was able to figure out some new settings.

I think I might need a wide angle lens. : )

December Holiday Season

Hey, did you miss me?? I took an extended holiday break.

We had a very different Christmas day, just Mick & I. Hope I won't experience a Christmas day again without family for a very long time.

Happy New Year. I say this every year but I know it's going to be a GREAT year!!!

We had to much food, cookies, fudge & drink over the holiday.  Along with to much dirt, dusk & construction debris.

We are in the middle, well not the middle yet, of remodeling the upstairs bath. I've been taking lots of photos of the progress.
