Retaining Wall

The retaining wall built alongside our driveway using railroad ties rotted away.

Mick said it would be a "day project." We didn't believe him. His projects never take a day.

There was more digging than we assumed.

He finished two courses & we didn't like how it looked. So back to the store for more stone. Thankfully my nephew Kevin was with us for the weekend & he has a truck.
140 stones and ONLY A DAY the wall was finished.
My contribution was planting the grass. Grow grass grow.

Nice wall! The trick is getting that first course of blocks level, and it looks like Mick did that very well!
