American Red Cross doesn't have a very good efficiency rate as far as what % actually goes to the cause. Salvation Army and (I think) Catholic Relief Services are much better. Let's all look into it and report our findings to GEL-Oh.
I went to http://clintonbushhaitifund.org./ They claim that,"One hundred percent of your donation will go toward relief and recovery efforts in Haiti." And you can give as much as you'd like. They really need help. At this site, they claim that they have had a very good response, more than 90,000 contributions :)
American Red Cross is graded an A- or 3 out of 4 stars for efficiency. About 90% of their funds go to the programs they support. The rest goes to administration and fundraising. Catholic Relief Services is at 93%, so I guess both are good!
