Activist

A photo of a rally sign that was brought home.
A member of my family has become an activist. I never would have guessed. He's working very hard to bring jobs to Michigan.
Michigan Jobs and Energy
He also had a bumper sticker on his car. Asafamilywehaveneverhadbumperstickers.

Antiquing

Eric has been looking for a bookshelf for several years now. He wanted something cheap but sturdy. I finally came across one that I thought he would like. My cell phone came in handy, I sent him a photo of the below. It's made of cherry, it's very heavy & also sturdy. Was priced at $65 and I got for $55. It's going to be hard for me to give it up. I also saw this beauty. Was $32, marked half off, I paid $15. It's solid oak and was once attached to the top of a dresser. I love that bits of silver have started to come thru and also the bevel along the edge of the mirror.
I'm saving this for Amie. I just have no place of it but I thought it was a deal I couldn't pass up. I wonder if marking up then marking down half price sucked me in?

Front Door

Mick supervised & I painted the front door. The color is from the new Martha Stewart paints.
I love the finish of the paint. It looks so good from the road. I already have the next color picked out. If you can guess the next color correctly, I'll come & paint your front door.
Or maybe you would rather not have me paint your door??

One house
Two house White house
Blue house
House one started out with 3 cubic yards of top soil, house two started out with 4 cubic yards of mulch. I can tell you, at house number one the wheel barrows & buckets were much heavier. Yes, the window box at house number one is supposed to have the paint chipping off, well it wasn't planned that way, but I love the shabby chic. Sorry Mau it's my blog, I get to be house number one!
